Terms of Service
Last updated: June 6, 2026
These terms cover your use of the QuickTick app and this website. By downloading, installing, or buying QuickTick you agree to them. The short version: try it free for 7 days, pay once if you like it, use it on every Mac you personally own, and don't redistribute the app or your license key.
1. The app and your license
QuickTick is a macOS application. When you buy a license you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use QuickTick on Macs that you own or primarily use. A license is per person, not per machine. If you're buying for a team, purchase one license per user.
You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly share the app or your license key, and you may not reverse-engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it.
2. Free trial
QuickTick is free to try, fully featured, for 7 days from first launch — no payment details required. After the trial ends, the app locks until a license key is activated. Your task data is never deleted by the trial ending.
3. Purchases and payment
Orders are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle, who handles payment, applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax), receipts, and payment-related customer service. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's checkout buyer terms. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay; it's a one-time payment, not a subscription.
After purchase, your license key is emailed to the address you used at checkout. Keep it safe — you'll need it to activate on a new Mac.
4. Refunds
If QuickTick isn't for you, we offer a full refund within 30 days of purchase, no questions asked. Reply to your Paddle receipt or email hello@jolley.app with your order details. Refunded licenses must no longer be used. See the full Refund Policy.
5. Updates and support
Your license includes app updates for the life of the app, delivered at our discretion. We aim to answer support email promptly, but support is provided as-is and response times aren't guaranteed. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
6. Your data
Your tasks live on your Mac (and, if you enable sync, in Apple Reminders). We don't host your data, so backing it up is your responsibility — QuickTick includes a JSON export for exactly that. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use QuickTick to break the law, don't attempt to circumvent the trial or license mechanism, and don't generate, share, or use forged license keys.
8. Disclaimer of warranty
QuickTick is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to QuickTick is limited to the amount you paid for your license. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or business — even if advised of the possibility. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Termination
We may terminate your license if you materially breach these terms (for example, by sharing or forging license keys). You can stop using QuickTick at any time; sections that by their nature should survive (such as 8 and 9) survive termination.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes apply going forward and will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use QuickTick after changes take effect means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Purchases processed by Paddle may additionally be governed by Paddle's buyer terms.
